Bacteriostatic water (BAC water) overview
Bacteriostatic water, often called BAC water, is water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol. The preservative slows bacterial growth inside the vial, which is why a single vial can be entered more than once in a laboratory over the life of a project. In the lab it is used as the solvent for lyophilized research peptides, including Wolverine Blend, turning the dry powder into a solution that can be measured.
It differs from ordinary sterile water only by the added benzyl alcohol. This product is sold as a laboratory solvent. It is not labeled or sold for injection into people or animals.

Reconstitution in a research context
Lyophilized peptides are reconstituted before they can be studied. In practice the solvent is added slowly down the inside wall of the peptide vial so the powder dissolves gently, without shaking or foaming. Work under clean laboratory conditions and follow your own protocol. To work out concentration and aliquot volumes for a given vial, use the lab reconstitution calculator.

Using BAC water with Wolverine Stack
Choosing a volume
For a 20 mg Wolverine Stack vial, laboratories commonly add 1 to 4 mL, and the volume sets the concentration. Add it slowly down the inside wall of the vial and swirl without shaking.
Keeping the vial clean
Wipe the stopper with an alcohol swab before every entry, use a new sterile needle and syringe each time, and keep the stopper sealed between uses.
Storage and handling
Temperature
Store at controlled room temperature, 20 to 25 C. Protect the vial from excess heat, strong light and freezing.
Handling
Keep the stopper sealed between uses and handle only under clean conditions. Discard the vial if the liquid looks cloudy or contains particles.
